If you prefer handwashing, use a fragrance-free dishwashing liquid to avoid the detergent smell in silicone, and avoid using harsh scrubbers to prevent scratches. For oily food residues, wash with warm soapy water.

Silicone is prone to absorbing food stains, especially from the juices of fruits or vegetables like carrot sticks, watermelon, strawberries, tomatoes, rock melon, added food coloring, turmeric, and other spices. While it is inevitable that these stains will form on silicone products, you can minimize or sometimes even remove the stains by soaking them in a paste made by mixing dishwashing liquid and baking soda. Apply the paste to the stained area, let it soak for half an hour, and then pop them in the dishwasher.
